The Common Sailor, Neptis hylas papaja (Moore)

This is probably one of the commonest black and white Neptis to be found on a jungle trail, a quarry or in an open country. It glides slowly and has a rather "frail" appearance. Of all the Neptis, this is the only species that has a rich golden brown underside, making it instantly recognisable. Common in wide range of habitats from lowland to sub-montane elevation.
