The Wanderer, as its eponymic name suggests, is a "wanderer". It is a common butterfly at the forest's edge and sometimes in gardens: it is often seen but hardly photographed because of its habit of not settling even for a brief moment on a flower. However, it is never to be found abundant in any localities.
There isn't any other pierids that has such unusually coloured wings - light caerulean blue with black veins and edges, making it an unmistakable insect even in flight...
