This is a common butterfly of the hills and in the region of Raub, descending to about just the lowest about 500 M. It is not found in the lower valley of the region. It is instantly recognisable by its large semi-transparent blue-spoted wings lined with dark chocolate brown and a rather yellowish brown abdomen that is visible in flight.
