This is a rarer denizen of the Grass Yellows sometimes found puddling with the other members of the genus. It is much smaller and is rounder in appearance and is decidedly a forest insect. On the undersides of the forewing apex, there is almost always a faint chocolate mark and another dark streak on the costal area of the hindwing. There is only one cell spot on the underside of its forewing.
