Hypolycaena merguia skapane (H. H. Druce)

From afar, this looks like a diminutive cross between H. erylus and Chliara othona. This is a rare butterfly of the forest.

Above photos 29 June 2014 @ 13:02. It was puddling on a moist spot among bees and other butterflies and was almost dismissed as a diminutive Zeltus amasa when I suddenly decided to give it a closer shot.
