The Small Redeye, Gangara sanguinocculus (Martin)

This skipper inhabits the dark understorey - without flash in the dark forest, it appears to be a very dark insect with unusual markings on its undersides. It is much smaller than the Giant Redeye, G. thrysis and can be readily distinguished from the later by the white spot on the HW cell.
