The Dark Hedge Blue, Plautella cossaea pambui (Eliot)

Superficially ressembles very much the Common Hedge Blue, Acytolepis puspa lambi and may be mistaken for one. The genus Plautella has wholly black antennae club compared to Acytolepis which has a whitened orange tip.  However, female of the subspecies pambui can be spotted in flight by its unusual flash of pale area over peacock blue basal halves of the uppersides. Rare and may be overlooked due to its similarities to A. puspa. In C&P it is said to be confined to the Main Range but it is not the case in Raub as it is also found outside of the Main Range.
